FESTIVAL project supports IoT Week 2017 – 06-09/06/17 – and will be involved in various activities taking place during this event as speaker, exhibitor and co-organiser of the Hackathon with a special EU-Japanese FESTIVAL Award!

The IoT week 2017

The 7th edition of the international IoT Week will take place in Geneva, from June 6 to 9 2017. This major European 4 days-event consists of over 200 sessions and activities to access the latest developments in the Internet of Things (IoT) domain: emerging technologies, security and privacy, sustainable development, industry and market evolution.
The IoT Week is the most important conference organized on a yearly basis by the IoT Forum since 2011. Previous editions attracted about 500 participants specialized in the IoT domain, including research centres, research projects, large industries, SMEs, developers, standards development organisations and policy makers, including the European Commission.

FESTIVAL at the IoT week

More than a participant, FESTIVAL project is a “supporter ” of 2017 IoT Week!
FESTIVAL, as an important international project on IoT, will be actively involved in the IoT Week organisation. FESTIVAL project will be presented at the session of IoT Platform Convergence for Smart Cities at the first day of the event. Participants will have the possibility to come and meet us during whole event at the FESTIVAL booth and discuss with project partners. For those who wish going further playing with the FESTIVAL platform, IoT Week’s hackathon will provide an excellent opportunity!
Hackathon for EU-Japanese FESTIVAL Award 2017

Do you have a novel idea for improving yours and others life in a sustainable manner? Does your idea involves IoT technologies? You can use FESTIVAL platform to get it done!

Take part in the Hackathon & compete or rather « coopete » (collaborative-competition) for the EU-Japanese FESTIVAL Award 2017. During these four days, you will have access to FESTIVAL resources and required infrastructure (hardware and software) for implementing your project. You will also have the opportunity to get on site personal support from project partners.

Eclipse sensiNact and FESTIVAL platforms will be made available for your developments & the best FESTIVAL experts will be at your service, so get on the Call for Experimenters section for preparing your entry!

Watch out! Tight deadlines for FESTIVAL hackathon ahead!

Proposals must be sent to hackathon-iotweek2017@hes-so.ch. Extended Deadline = May 24.
Hackathon registration is made on the basis of a specific online application. If your application is accepted, you will receive a code to register as hackathon participant. Please note that the hackathon registration is free and will enable you to join the hackathon activities as well as coffee breaks, but not to attend the sessions, social events and lunch catering.

Exhibition area

The International Conference Centre of Geneva (CICG) will provide an exhibition area for FESTIVAL & other projects to showcase their latest products, research results and solutions.
Event stakeholders will be available for connecting and networking, along with the most relevant IoT experts, leaders and company representatives. Thus, meet & greet partners at FESTIVAL booth, number 20!
