ATR is responsible for managing ATR Data Center (DC) testbed. OSK is one of the research project team of ATR DC. ATR DC is an experimental datacenter facility on the research project funded by MOE (Ministry of Environment), JAPAN.  The research project goal is to reduce total energy consumption of small- to middle- scale datacenters by up to 70%, by means of various novel ideas on power supply technologies, airflow technologies, task assignment on servers, temperature prediction, and integrated control mechanism.

At the time being, the ATR DC facility is being integrated within the JOSE testbed.  In this approach, similar to the followed between JOSE and iHOUSE, FIAP Storage for JOSE is used to share the data collected from sensors. It also uses the Internet to connect the “ATR DC and JOSE” integration and external experimenter sites.
